Ухудшилась в два раза производительность в эмуляторах (Perfomance decrease in emulators work)

English: Before updating to Sierra and Xcode 8 there was 30 fps in my application (game) using iPhone 6 emulator. For now, it’s 12-14 average for the same code. I hope that developers will fix it soon, because it should work like that - we expect performance improvement when we are updating OS and software, but what we have for now - same code runs worse. That definetely not good thing to happen.

Bugs

Одни баги, симулятор ios 8.1 нормально не масштабируется четверть экрана черная, если png картинки 16bits на ios 8.х получаем непонятные баги в приложении. Среда переодически зависает и т/д. A whole set of bugs. Simulator ios 8.1 does not show full screen on scaling and rotation some of it is simple black. If your project has 16bits png and yout try to run it in ios 8.x then the app randomly crashes in diff locations. IDE is not stable and randomly freezes and so on.

Shame! Shame! Shame!

It works awefully. Compilation of Swift application is slow as hell on my top Macbook Pro 15 Retina Late 2013. SourceKitService is taking 100% of CPU. Storyboards and XIBs are not properly rendering. No Swift refactoring though its already 2 years since Swift 1.0 release. Apple, you make billions dollars every year. Spend a little of it to make developers happy.

How is it possible to get worse and worse every year?

I used to love it now I deeply hate it! ..and I hate Apple that, despite they know they were getting worse and worse, they decided to release these new versions anyway.. how can a wonderful IDE become such a mess? everyday I have to close it and restart it several times, it gets lost processing I don’t know what, makes me wait continously, slow and instable, it has nothing to do with what was 3/4 years ago. It’s a situation no longer bearable in a working environment, I don’t mind spending more money, but I do need something professional, and I know I have to look somewhere else cause Apple is not able to handle it anymore.

Simulators bug and expressions window

For some reason the simulators in this version are labeled as betas…? Also it seems like the expressions window has sucked for a while. It always says “invalid expression”. The expressions window used to be a lot better back in the day. I wish Apple had better quality control on Xcode because us developers rely on using these tools to create apps for their great platforms and most of the frustrations and wasted time stem from Xcode being buggy.

Can no longer Debug apps

NSLog no longer prints messages to the console.

Broken App

Its sad to see an app like this not be able to function for almost the whole community. Ive had countless problems with xcode and so have other people. This is the 4th time I had to redownload the program. Keep in mind I have expirience with this and it is not my fault. Hopefully bugs and glitches get fixed soon...

Constant Crash

I have been attempting to work with Xcode for a year but I truely belive they have over extended themselves. It is constantly crashing. They are so consered with keeping up with the Jones they can see what their most basic problems are. Its sad, there has to be a better option for Mac than this...

Every change, every new version breaks all the changes

I updated the Xcode, this breaks the code, I update my iphone, now its not supported by the xcode so I need to update it again… this breaks my code again so while (new version){ update and fix a lot of issues} honestly this is not a good product

What’s happening to you Apple?

I upgraded to 8.1 last night and opened one of projects using Xcode. The project is very small and it’s a graphics application (OpenGL). Left the laptop with Xcode open and came back half an hour later and the fans on my laptop were running at full speed. Checked the resource monitor and Xcode was running at 100% (no build or debug process).

Sourcecontrol

* its biggest drawback i ever seen, even i pull changes conflicts doesn’t show up or xcode doesnt allow me to edit. * Instead of Regular-Compact sizeclasses why can’t we set/enable/disable contraints for each device.

Don’t click Update if you have El Capitan

This is missing the command line tools necessary to work on OS X El Capitan. Your old command line tools will start to give you errors like this: ld: file not found: /usr/lib/system/libsystem_symptoms.dylib for architecture x86_64 This will break homebrew and just about anything on your system that compiles things from source.

Can’t even get past license agreement

Wow the mighty have fallen! What is up Apple, your QA is lacking seriously.

Terrible

Spend more time battling the IDE than I do actually coding. Easy to navigate but it constantly tries to do things like compile header files - even if they are created in the IDE as a header. If I turn off the computer and turn it back on it’ll throw 15 errors that didnt exist prior to restarting all having to do with how this is trying to compile the files. On all projects - only this newer version.

Grown used to bugs, incorporated into workflow

I’ve got the build button’s key command forever ingrained into my brain. Thats the only way Xcode will catch errors on the fly anymore. The only way you can get Xcode to properly recognize your code, is you’ve guessed it, CMD+B. I’ve never really written a review on the App Store, but the more I scrolled through the previous reviews, I’ve discovered so many problems that I’ve forgotten about. Missing syntax highlighting? Oh yeah! Excessive compiling on a file I’ve not touched? Bingo! Crashing IB? Just trashed my prefs attempting to fix it. This used to be a very decent IDE. Now its a bloated pig. Slow, fat, never works. Apple, stop trying to use open source and bug reporting to ‘improve’ your products. Instead of shipping your products to India for Q&A, do it in-house with paid workers, in the USA. And to think you’re so proud of slapping ‘Made in USA’ on your Macs. Try moving your software divison home. Maybe try to write your software with Xcode.

Cannot learn from the documentation - sorry newbies

I feel sorry for new iOS/OSX developers since the new documentation format has lost the ability to learn from it. I’m glad I learned Obj-c on Xcode v5 & v6 since that documentation was a pinicle of perfection. The UX is more-pretty than ever before, but at the cost of cutting needed information and producing what I’d call information dead-ends. For instance, UIView inherits from what classes? (ANS: look in the old docs). What is UIOrangeColor? (ANS: just a property; the old doc used to even say the color components and list sibiling properties). Coupling of enum types and subproperties siblings, searching the header files is now the best way to find the answer. The side panel index is defunct waste of pixel space: Dynamically show me where in this useless index I am currently viewing?

Honestly, Xcode 8 is rubbish!

This update of Xcode is nothing but annoying me. After I upgrade my Xcode 7 to 8, all the syntax of my project gone and messing up with my storyboard and my constaints. I have to download a Xcode 7 to continue my work because Xcode 8 for me, nothing is work except for showing the code like textEdit app. I don’t understand why do you guys change or take out so many stable functionalities in Xcode 7 and publish this junk version.

More buggy than 8.0

8.1 doesn’t appear to be as stable as 8.0. Crashes a lot for me (on new Macbook Pro with TouchBar)
