Grown used to bugs, incorporated into workflow
I’ve got the build button’s key command forever ingrained into my brain. Thats the only way Xcode will catch errors on the fly anymore. The only way you can get Xcode to properly recognize your code, is you’ve guessed it, CMD+B. I’ve never really written a review on the App Store, but the more I scrolled through the previous reviews, I’ve discovered so many problems that I’ve forgotten about. Missing syntax highlighting? Oh yeah! Excessive compiling on a file I’ve not touched? Bingo! Crashing IB? Just trashed my prefs attempting to fix it. This used to be a very decent IDE. Now its a bloated pig. Slow, fat, never works.
Apple, stop trying to use open source and bug reporting to ‘improve’ your products. Instead of shipping your products to India for Q&A, do it in-house with paid workers, in the USA. And to think you’re so proud of slapping ‘Made in USA’ on your Macs. Try moving your software divison home. Maybe try to write your software with Xcode.
